ASO - Space Classics


Objective

When the ASO performs the songs of a contemporary artist like Queen, finding an audience is easy. The challenge in this instance was how to find and engage the niche audience for space movie soundtracks.

Insight

Star Wars and Star Trek have cult followings with fans who want others to love the movies as much as they do.

Proposition

The ASO is as passionate about these movies and their music as you are.

Creative

Clever, engaging, creative that tied in key icons of the movies with a performance by the ASO.

Media

These three posters along with outdoor, multiple press ads, a TVC and viral teaser were produced for less than $15,000. Photographed and filmed all in one day, this entire campaign was executed in less than two weeks.

Effectiveness

Within two days of their release, the print ads had gone viral, appearing on hundreds of websites including MTV.

The show sold over 2000 tickets and the two performances were considered a great success.
