The Adelaide Showpony team are proud to announce that we've been appointed the Creative Agency for the SANTOS Tour Down Under.
Forgive the laziness but Campaign Brief did a great job of writing this up...
The Santos Tour Down Under is changing gears with the South Australian Tourism Commission, through its events unit, Events South Australia (ESA) appointing Showpony Advertising as the new creative agency following a competitive creative tender process.
Jamie Scott, managing director of Showpony Advertising, says the agency is proud to represent the iconic race.
Says Scott: “The Santos Tour Down Under is the largest festival of cycling in the southern hemisphere, and a highly sought-after account. It’s established itself as an unmissable event on South Australia’s calendar, attracting hundreds of thousands of fans including national and international visitors. “It’s an excellent opportunity to showcase our stunning State to Australia and the world.”
Ready for the creative opportunities, agency creative director Parris Mesidis says: “Like the cyclists, our work is performing on the world stage. We’re looking forward to pushing some boundaries and making some real noise.”
Andrew Fotheringham, general manager, marketing and communications, events South Australia said that the appointment of Showpony Advertising would see the agency continue to enhance Santos Tour Down Under’s reputation as Australia’s greatest cycling race. Says Fotheringham: “Showpony Advertising have been engaged to deliver the creative campaign for the Santos Tour Down Under, being successfully appointed after a competitive tender process and we are excited about this new partnership.
“We look forward to the Santos Tour Down Under joining the Showpony stable as we begin working on our campaign for the 2020 event and beyond.”
As an independently owned agency, Showpony’s clients include Bridgestone Australia, SANFL, HomeStart Finance, Rundle Mall, Flinders University, SA Health and Coopers.
Stay tuned for the launch of the Santos Tour Down Under 2020 campaign later this year.
