The hot air balloon became our primary visual asset with an aerial view of the region showing a ‘patchwork’ of vineyards. To authenticate this position we developed a promotional display case that included actual soil samples from each of the vineyards used to produce Patchwork Shiraz. And to bring Patchwork to life we gave retailers a chance to win a weekend in the Barossa featuring a tour with the winemaker, behind the scenes experiences and a hot air balloon flight over the beautiful patchwork of vineyards. As hot air ballooning is something that’s synonymous with the region, we recommended that Yalumba invest in building their own branded hot air balloon. Showpony negotiated a partnership between Yalumba and ahot air balloon operator and, for a CapEx expenditureof less than the cost of a one-month billboard ad in Adelaide, the Patchwork hot air balloon is becoming famous in the Barossa. The results?  The consumer promotion ran in Queensland and delivered an 180% increase in distributions, as well as 57% increase in sales. The campaign has since been rolled out nationally, and the hot air balloon took to the skies over The Barossa in late 2013. In April 2014, we ran a supporting consumer campaign on YouTube to support the retailers. The campaign resulted in 42,000 views of the Patchwork video injust a 4 week period.  - [![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Facebook.svg)](https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fshowpony.com.au&t=) - [![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Twitter.svg)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?source=http%3A%2F%2Fshowpony.com.au&text=:%20http%3A%2F%2Fshowpony.com.au&via=showponyadv) - [![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Google.svg)](https://plus.google.com/share?url=http%3A%2F%2Fshowpony.com.au) - [![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Pinterest.svg)](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/button/) - [![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/LinkedIn.svg)](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=http%3A%2F%2Fshowpony.com.au&title=&summary=&source=http%3A%2F%2Fshowpony.com.au) ![PatchworkActivation.png](https://www.showpony.com.au/hs-fs/hubfs/images/PatchworkActivation.png?width=300&name=PatchworkActivation.png "PatchworkActivation.png") ## [Balfours Bay](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/balfours-bay) ## [Balfours Bay — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/Stars%20of%20Summer.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/balfours-bay) ## [Waiting is not an emergency](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/waiting_is_not_an_emergency) ## [Waiting is not an emergency — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/11millionSQ.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/waiting_is_not_an_emergency) ## [Effectiveness](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/effectiveness) ## [Effectiveness — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/ScreenShot2015-11-23at3.09.22pm.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/effectiveness) ## [Aboriginal Immunisation](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/aboriginal-immunisation-case-study) ## [Aboriginal Immunisation — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Immunisation.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/aboriginal-immunisation-case-study) ## [Keep your hands off our ambos](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/keep-your-hands-off-our-ambos) ## [Keep your hands off our ambos — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Ambos.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/keep-your-hands-off-our-ambos) ## [Bridgestone Tyres](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/bridgestone-hands-results/) ## [Bridgestone Tyres — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Hands.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/bridgestone-hands-results/) ## [Yalumba Patchwork](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/yalumba-patchwork) ## [Yalumba Patchwork — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/PatchworkActivation.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/yalumba-patchwork) ## [DFEEST](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/dfeest) ## [DFEEST — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/DFEEST.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/dfeest) ## [Greyhounds](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/greyhounds-adelaide-cup) ## [Greyhounds — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Greyhounds.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/greyhounds-adelaide-cup) ## [Monarto Zoo](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/monarto-zoo) ## [Monarto Zoo — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/ZooWonder.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/monarto-zoo) ## [Breastscreen SA](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/breastscreen-sa-1) ## [Breastscreen SA — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/SAHealthBreastscreen.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/breastscreen-sa-1) ## [SANFL](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/new-page-3) ## [SANFL — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/SANFL_.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/new-page-3) ## [Yalumba Scribbler](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/yalumba-the-scribbler) ## [Yalumba Scribbler — view — ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Scribbler.png)](https://www.showpony.com.au/results-case-studies/yalumba-the-scribbler) Level 3, 165 Flinders Lane  Melbourne, VIC 3000 03 9988 2293 swiftwind@showpony.com.au ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Capture.png) Level 1, 199A Rundle Street Adelaide, SA 5000 08 8225 9700 swiftwind@showpony.com.au ![](https://www.showpony.com.au/hubfs/images/Capture.png)
