With COVID-19 causing lockdown across South Australia, the State Government needed a campaign to encourage people to commit to the restrictions and play their part for the greater good. Our campaign went from brief to live in just 10 days, taking what was perceived as loss and repositioning it for what it actually was: an act of communal solidarity and strength.
Pre-campaign, 66% of South Australians were moderately to very confident that the COVID-19 situation was being well managed by the State Government, and only six weeks into the campaign, this increased to 90%. From the date the SA.GOV.AU portal went live (5 April) until 15 June 2020, there were more than 1.27 million unique users – the equivalent of 99% of SA’s adult population.
