As has been seen in most countries, there’s a segment of the Australian community who are reluctant to get vaccinated against COVID-19. SA Health needed to bolster public confidence in South Australia, to ensure greater turnout for vaccination and better protection for the state.
To counter this vaccine hesitancy, we created an interactive digital billboard that tallied the total number of vaccines administered within SA, updated every day. With hundreds of thousands of vaccines administered, and that number constantly growing, the billboard helped flip the perception of the vaccine as an unknown. It was a reassurance of the progress of the vaccine rollout and a convincing argument to roll up and be part of it.
The billboard was placed in high traffic locations, and was picked up by news stations across Adelaide, helping to spread the message – protect yourself, your loved ones and SA.
